I have been with the State Farm for thirty years, starting off in claims for over eight years. My journey started on the Southside of Chicago, IL. I attended Unity High School. After graduating from high school, I went on to receive my bachelor's from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and my masters degree from the University of Illinois Chicago. While in college, I was a summer intern with State Farm. I was then hired to work in the claims department at State Farm and worked in that department for over eight years. I was promoted to a State Farm agent in 1995 and started my insurance agency in Harvey, IL. I serviced the city of Harvey for over twenty years and moved my office to the city of Country Club Hills, IL.

In my years as a licensed insurance agent in auto insurance, life insurance, home insurance, and health insurance, I have grown passionate in teaching my customers how to properly cover their assets with insurance. I am a people person and love to talk and build relationships, thus my customers have become my family. I have received numerous awards in my insurance career, one being the Life Honor Agent. Also, the community that my agency service is important to me, which is why I continuously stay involved in giving back.

Lastly, I do live up to my last name so at Kim Smiley’s State Farm Insurance Agency, you can expect to be greeted with a smile!
